As the World TurnsATWT video clip update: Frenching step-grandpappy
Major developments today on As the World Turns. Noah finds a sloppy drunk Luke lurking about town and takes him back to the farm to keep him out of trouble. In between his inebriated lurchings, Luke is all "Stay with me Noah!" and "You can't walk out on me!" Noah swipes Luke's keys and beats a hasty retreat. Meanwhile, Brian Wheatley and Lucinda arrange a hasty wedding at her hospital bedside, with Lily and Holden witnessing the blessed event. Right after the ceremony, Wheatley heads home to grab some various and sundries for his blushing (though still hospitalized) bride. Along the way, he sees a stumbling Luke by the side of the road. He picks his new step-grandson up and takes him back to the farm to sober him up. Then, in what has to be one of the most oddly interesting moments on ATWT in recent memory — he kisses him! This is one episode you don't want to miss — check out the Nuke video after the break! Submitted by on Wed, 2008-11-19 16:51. Liveblogging "As the World Turns": Coo coo ca-choo, Mr. Wheatables
Okay, first off can I just say that I sure as hell picked the wrong day to skip a liveblog? Yesterday's episode (which was of course brought to you by the ever-able snicks) was sheer brilliance. From Luke's hangover-hair to his second bender to "screw-up and porn queen", it's the meatiest material Van Hansis has had to work with in ages. Heck, even the score (which gave Lady D's hospital scenes downright Sirkian gravitas) was better than usual. Today we pick up with Luke still three sheets to the wind and Brian "Wheatables" Wheatley still confusing everyone with his overtures toward Lady Drumstick and his curious interest in Luke. Today the simmering, Teflon-haired oddness that is Wheatables boils over in what is sure to be one of the most entertaining twists of the season. In yesterday's gin-soaked episode of As the World Turns, Lucinda went in for her mastectomy, and when Luke has an awkward run-in with Noah at the hospital he uses the it as an excuse to go on yet another bender. When Allison and Casey find him at a bar and try to stop him from drinking, he lashes out, calling Casey a "screw up" and Allison a "porn queen!" Ouch. Just how low is the boy going to sink, and are you like me and sort of digging this edgier "Mr Hyde"-ish side of Luke? Check out yesterday's Nuke clips after-the break. And hey, maybe we can make a drinking game out of it. Raise your glass every time Luke says something catty. Submitted by on Wed, 2008-11-19 08:49. Liveblogging "As The World Turns" Luke S: Portrait of a Teenage Relapser
I know that you're probably thinking "where the hell is Brian?" Well, the details are sketchy, but from what I gather he was called away for an emergency flea dip for a couple of Were-Cats (I think they could probably do with some neutering too ... but that's not for me to decide). Anyway, I'll be covering the liveblog today, which should be interesting considering I really only pay attention during the Nuke scenes ... and the shirtless Butters scenes ... and the shirtless AustinFromDays scenes. Oh, and the QuakerOatsLady and Lucinda scenes (because they're fabulous). Join us after break for the latest developments ... rumor has it that Noah learns that Luke has been hitting the bottle again. Will he reach him before Luke gets sloshed? Let's hope not! As the World Turns' Noah Mayer (Jake Silbermann) has managed to stave off a gay mutiny and hold his title of Gay of the Week for a second term. To find out by what margin Noah won the title against challengers Dan Savage, Richard (Top Chef) and Neil Patrick Harris, head on through the jump. And be sure to check back in on Friday when a new crop of hopefuls throw down the gay gauntlet in the name of network supremacy! Submitted by on Mon, 2008-11-17 14:27. Battle of the Network Gays for November 14
Every Friday we pick the gays in television who have had the best week and leave it to you, the keepers of the flame, to decide who will be crowned Gay of the Week and enjoy their own fancy button over on the left. We'll announce the winner on Monday, and that champ will reign until a new set of challengers are introduced the following Friday to try to steal his title. Reigning Gay of the Week Noah Mayer (As the World Turns) had another busy week, but will it be enough to defend his crown from the challengers? Meet the new contenders and find out why they rated this week, after the break! Submitted by on Fri, 2008-11-14 11:28. ATWT video clip update: Back to the bottle
Today on As the World Turns, Holden & Lily a have a sit down with Luke and try to get him to accept some personal responsibility for his recent ill-behavior. Luke heads to see Noah to apologize and patch things up, but Noah isn't quite ready to play nice. Despondent, Luke grabs a draft beer from a passing frat boy. Uh oh, this looks like trouble! Check out all the melodrama in today's Nuke video clips after the break. Submitted by on Thu, 2008-11-13 16:12. Liveblogging "As the World Turns": Luke falls off the wagon
Would it be in poor taste to play a drinking game based around recovering alcoholic Luke Snyder's fall from sobriety? Probably. But it would also be hella fun! Yes, today Luke's Kevin-induced downward spiral continues, as he celebrates his recent expulsion from Oakdale U by getting wasted (and if you remember how Luke and alcohol mix, it's not pretty). Will this be the bottom of the barrel for Luke, or will he one-up Noah's grief-induced hobo phase with an ill-advised drunken hookup? Click on through the jump and refresh often to find out, as it happens! Submitted by on Thu, 2008-11-13 14:56. ATWT video clip update: Nobody likes a tattletale
On yesterday's As the World Turns, Noah's high-minded decision to rat out Luke to the Oakdale University dean had some major repercussions. Not the least of which, both Casey and Luke are permanently expelled. Casey confronts Noah about his decision to be a tattletale and reminds him that Luke was perfectly happy to lie for him during that entire sham marriage to Ameera. (Glad someone on the show pointed that out.) Luke has to tell Momma Lily about the ballot stuffing, and his expulsion from school. She is devasted. When Noah shows his face, the boys have it out in an ugly confrontation. Will they be able to patch things up? Find out more in the latest Nuke video clips after the break, and be sure to join us at 2PM EST today for our liveblog of what happens next! Submitted by on Thu, 2008-11-13 09:26. |
