Liveblogging "As the World Turns": Coo coo ca-choo, Mr. Wheatables

Okay, first off can I just say that I sure as hell picked the wrong day to skip a liveblog? Yesterday's episode (which was of course brought to you by the ever-able snicks) was sheer brilliance. From Luke's hangover-hair to his second bender to "screw-up and porn queen", it's the meatiest material Van Hansis has had to work with in ages. Heck, even the score (which gave Lady D's hospital scenes downright Sirkian gravitas) was better than usual.

Today we pick up with Luke still three sheets to the wind and Brian "Wheatables" Wheatley still confusing everyone with his overtures toward Lady Drumstick and his curious interest in Luke. Today the simmering, Teflon-haired oddness that is Wheatables boils over in what is sure to be one of the most entertaining twists of the season.

IMHO "Gossip Girl": "The Mighty Archibalds", or The First Temptation of Eric van der Woodsen

In its short run, I've learned to be patient with Gossip Girl. I spent a good part of the first few episodes complaining that Nate Archibald was just a boring lump of pretty until the writers figured him out. And ever since he came out last season, I've been a little frustrated that there hasn't been much to GG's gay teen Eric van der Woodsen. But my patience finally paid off in this week's episode, "The Mighty Archibalds".

Find out more about Eric's latest developments and why I'm giving this episode the up arrow after the break.

"True Blood" (1.11) recaplet: To Love is to Bury

Sookie and Sam grow closer, Bill is a new daddy, Tara meets the freaky pig lady again (sans pig), Jason runs around in rain-soaked tighty whities ... and we learn the identity of the killer, who strikes again!

It's the next-to-last episode of True Blood and you can see all the craziness after the break!

"Ugly Betty" (3.08) recaplet: Tornado Girl

This week's Ugly Betty contains a tornado, a heartbreaking confession, and hideous hats. Will it be as terrific as last week's episode, or prove to be a disaster?

Find out after the break!

Liveblogging "As the World Turns": Luke falls off the wagon

Would it be in poor taste to play a drinking game based around recovering alcoholic Luke Snyder's fall from sobriety? Probably. But it would also be hella fun!

Yes, today Luke's Kevin-induced downward spiral continues, as he celebrates his recent expulsion from Oakdale U by getting wasted (and if you remember how Luke and alcohol mix, it's not pretty). Will this be the bottom of the barrel for Luke, or will he one-up Noah's grief-induced hobo phase with an ill-advised drunken hookup?

Liveblogging "As the World Turns": Expelliarmus!!

Today we learn that, as a result of his underhanded campaign tactics and Noah's decision not to lie for him, Luke is expelled from Hogwarts Oakdale U. Looks like it's correspondence school for young Snyder! (Might I recommend Air Conditioner Repair?)

How will Luke's shady politics and clear obsession with Kevin affect his relationship with Noah? And how exactly will his grandma's BFF Brian "Wheatables" Wheatley play into all this?

Kevin locks horns with Robert, briefly and fruitlessly, over Prop 8.

Liveblogging "As the World Turns": Liar Liar

That's right, in today's episode Luke's short-lived victory in the dirty race for student body president goes sour as he gets called on the carpet for ballot-stuffing. Busted!

But things get really ugly when Luke asks Noah to lie for him to the dean, which Noah isn't willing to do. Of course, those of us who remember Noah's sham wedding (which broke Federal law, not just Oakdale U code of conduct) will find his newfound righteous indignation rather amusing, but let's face it, consistency isn't exactly this show's bread and butter.

Will Luke's nasty campaigning spell the end for the most virginal couple in soapdom? Click on through the jump and refresh often to find out, as it happens!

"True Blood" (1.10) recaplet: I Don't Wanna Know

Bill goes before The Legion of Doom, Tara tries to purge the devil inside, Jason has his hands full with Eddie, and Sookie learns why Sam is always trying to lick himself. Because he can! See it all after the break!
