Well, the AfterElton.com Flying Monkeys have finished tallying your thousands and thousands of votes in the AfterElton.com Hot 100 and we now know who you think are the hottest 100 men on the planet. But you're still going to have wait until June 2 to find out the results so we can present them in a nice pretty package.

However, we thought it would be fun to let you know at least a few of the guys who made the list, so between now and when we officially announce all the names, we're going to reveal one guy who made the list each weekday — though we're not going to tell you just where they placed on the list.

Yeah, I know, we're no fun at all.

Given all the As the World Turns' coverage over the past year, I thought it only fitting that the first name we're revealing is Van Hansis who plays Luke Snyder on the CBS daytime drama. Van is a newcomer to the list so it will be very interesting to see just how high he places.

Anyone want to make any guesses?

Spring has awakened, the flowers are in bloom and the boys jogging are wearing less and less! I like to call springtime "the battle of the bulge" ... or at least my battle to not get caught staring at them as they run by. It's like follow the bouncing ball, how can I not want to play along? 

Obviously I've got hotties on the brain and that could only mean one thing...

And my current #1 Hot Guy is...

In this week's vlog post of Two Gay Guys, Brent and I move from poolside to actually into the pool. Hey, it was 110 in Palm Springs! This week we "chew the fat" over the AfterElton.com's first annual Hot 100 List which, incidentally, turned out to be national and international news with the Associated Press writing an article about the whole shebang. (Many of the articles can't get over the fact Tom Cruise didn't get a single vote.)

In other words, all this week hundreds of thousands of folks — gay and straight — have been exposed to the shocking notion that gay men enjoy looking at attractive men — and that there is nothing wrong with being thought of as hot by us. In fact, it's a huge compliment! So, yes, the Hot 100 is fun and hot (as we discuss in the vlog), but I'd like to think it also serves a larger purpose in reminding folks of all sorts that gay sexuality is just like any other sexuality.

Plus, the Hot 100 proves once-and-for-all that I'm right about Jake Gyllenhaal and Brent is wrong. Bw-ha-ha!

As American readers well know, tomorrow is one of our few paid holidays so we'll be closing down shop to celebrate the country's birthday. (No doubt Scooter Libby will be celebrating more than most.) We'll be back on Thursday at our regular time, but if you get bored while we're gone, why not peruse all the hot guys who have been nominated for our Hot 100 list.
