Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone at The Cinema Society and Details screening of Milk (GETTY)

Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.

  • Last night in NYC Details Magazine and The Cinema Society held a screening of Milk which brought out the film's stars Sean Penn, James Franco and Josh Brolin, as well as out director Gus Van Sant. Also walking the red carpet were fashion god Marc Jacobs and his Brazilian boyfriend Lorenzo Martone, who obviously have been too busy admiring each other's hotness to shave. Not that I mind.
  • Speaking of hotness, People magazine has released their annual Sexiest Man Alive issue and once again there are apparently no sexy gay men in the world (or at least not in the top 15 who are profiled). To see actual sexy men, including gay ones, check out the AfterElton.com Hot 100!
  • Fans of America's Next Top Model may be in for a treat if the CW network picks up the new show Operation Fabulous. It would follow Top Model "coaches" Jay Manuel and J. Alexander as they "ride into small towns across the country to advise everyday girls on how to work it in the real world."

We can add Batboy to our list of allies

  • Supporters of Prop 8 must be shaking in their boots today as it was revealed that Batboy has been protesting to help overturn the measure. You rock, Batboy!
  • And in serious Breaking News about Prop 8, word is that the California Supreme Court will hear several legal challenges to the state's same-sex marriage ban, but will not allow any new gay marriages until it rules on the measure's validity. Well, the first hurdle has been cleared, but there's still a long way to go.
  • Finally, the latest celebrity to speak out about Prop 8 is Oscar winner Kevin Spacey, who tells Huffington Post "eventually the American public will figure out that it really isn't right to deny citizens basic civil human rights. And we can no longer allow that to happen."

AfterElton Briefs: Robert Pattinson on "Little Ashes", Lance's return to form on DWTS, and more!

Lance and Lacey on Dancing With the Stars

Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.

  • In case you haven't been keeping up, last night Lance Bass and his partner Lacey wiped the floor with the competition on Dancing With the Stars. I've been watching every week because I have to, but last night their mambo was seriously amazing ... and he did most of the jitterbug with only one shoe! I would say he's a "shoe-in" for the finals but that would be too lame even for me.
  • Did Sacha Baron Cohen's gay Bruno crash the set of Medium? Like that poor woman doesn't have enough to deal with as it is!

  • Above, check out an interview with Robert Pattinson (Twilight's mumbly and unkempt dreamy leading man) in which he discusses the upcoming film Little Ashes, where he plays half of the Dali/Lorca hobromance.
  • Die Serial Mommy Die! As though news of a new Charles Busch play weren't exciting enough, it's just been announced that Kathleen Turner will be starring opposite Busch in The Third Story Off-Broadway. Performances start in February and I will SO BE THERE. And wait, MMC Theater's other big production next year is a musical version of Coraline with music by out Magnetic Fields frontman Stephin Merritt?!
  • And here's some fun behind-the-scenes video of Neil Patrick Harris during his EW Entertainers of the Year shoot. Awwww!

Daniel Craig and friend in Quantum of Solace

Videos: The "Milk" men on the red carpet, and the young cast on gay rights and Harvey's legacy

Two great videos of the talented folks behind Milk speaking about the film, gay rights and Harvey Milk's legacy have surfaced that deserve a look.

First (above) there's a series of MTV interviews with the movie's young cast speaking at length about the film's parallels with the current battle against Proposition 8.

And after the break, check out ET's footage of the men of Milk on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere, which features the stars and director speaking eloquently about the film's inspiration (Emile Hirsch says it best when he simply comments that Harvey Milk was "an American hero").

AfterElton Briefs: Krayon Brooks is fed up, let's have sex, and more!

Matthew Mitcham (Photo: John McRae)

Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.

  • Out Olympic hero Matthew Mitcham has given his first in-depth interview since winning the gold medal. When asked by SX News about the controversy surrounding NBC's failure to properly address his historic win (something we covered extensively) he responded “I did get sent links about it, so I found out about it, but in all honesty it wasn’t really my fight, and I wasn’t offended. It was other people that were making complaints and who were really into it." You're welcome, Matthew!
  • Logo (our parent company) has acquired the rights to the first three seasons of the gay-themed reality series Chris & John to the Rescue! from Canada's OUTtv. Premiering in January, it centers on friends John Simpson and Chris Carter (not the X-Files guy) as they travel across North America and deliver their own unique brand of aid to people in need.
  • Rosie O'Donnell's upcoming NBC variety special Rosie Live is garnering quite an eclectic guest lineup. In addition to the previously announced Alanis Morissette and Ne-Yo, Rosie will also be joined by gay faves Jane Krakowski and Kathy Griffin. You can watch Rosie and friends bring the house down at 8 PM EST on November 26th.
  • Above you can see the latest clip from the fabulous Krayon Brooks who is in a dither about the passage of Proposition 8. He wants to teach those who supported it a lesson and has found the perfect solution. BTW, in his other life Krayon is known as Mike Rose, who's also responsible for Planet Unicorn.
  • And finally ... with all the craziness surrounding Proposition 8, this may be the most stupid. Ed Young, the pastor of a Texas "megachurch", has issued a challenge to his straight congregation. He's asking married couples to have sex for seven straight days to reclaim sex for married couples. Yes, seriously. Therefore, we're issuing our own challenge to all AfterElton.com readers. We want you to have as much HOT GAY SEX as you can. C'mon people ... make us proud!

Jake Gyllenhaal's five pounds of "Prince of Persia" muscle haven't gone to his head

Entertainment Tonight crashed the set of the upcoming action epic Prince of Persia, which of course stars honorary gay Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role. The discussion of course soon turned to the remarkable body transformation that the Brokeback Mountain star made in preparation for the role, but Jake assures us that it's simply five pounds of muscle and that he can't wait to get fat once shooting is over.

That's cool with us, Jake. Bears are totally in!

Check out the clip after the break, but be warned, it may lead you to actually attempt sexual congress with your computer screen.

"Degrassi" alum Adamo Ruggiero dons his gay apparel

While you were waiting for the new gay kid on Degrassi: The Next Generation to come out to himself, the actor who played that teen soap's trailblazing homo has lined up a new gig. Find out more after the break!

"Twilight" star to play "gay-ish" in "Little Ashes"

Javier Beltran (left) and Robert Pattinson in
Little Ashes

Stars such as Will Smith and Jake Gyllenhaal have played gay on their way to international superstardom, but Robert Pattinson, currently best known as Cedric from the Harry Potter movies, has the order reversed. This Friday, he opens in Twilight, the eagerly-awaited adaptation of the first book in the bestselling teen vampire series, and it's widely expected to make him a star.

But come winter (in the U.K.) and spring (in the U.S.), we'll see him starring as Salvador Dali in Little Ashes, a small British movie about the passionate friendship/"bromance"/love affair between the famous "straight" painter and his gay playwright friend Federico García Lorca.

When they receive notice that they are to expect Patrik, age 1.5, they are elated. However, a little mistake made at the adoption agency turns their world upside down.
