PHOTOS FROM DC MARCH, Nov. 15

ok, so i went to the March today in D.C....maaaasiiive turnout. i was actually in the front for the good first half of the march (because i am claustrophobic and did not want to be in the crowd.

no celebrities were there to my knowledge..and i only say that because i know some were in the CA ones and the NY ones.

all my photos (79 in total and 3 short videos) are in my photobucket account...i made it PUBLIC...so if you want to share the photos in your blog or whatever, do so....but do NOT tell your friends YOU took the photos. please credit me somehow or link my page.

they are very large photos, so if you have crappy internet service, it will be hell for you to view.

most of the photos are in numerical order and some aren't because my computer is dumb.  i apologize for that.

ok, here is my page -->  http://s189.photobucket.com/albums/z210/entemp/

ENJOY. :-D

Very nice Liz...

Thanks for the photos. I think one of my favourite signs is "Let a Girl Make an Honest Woman Out of Me".

I say we take the warning labels off everything and let nature take it's course.

my favorite....

my fave photo that i took was of the 3 little girls and one had a sign that said "let our mommies marry"

*sniff* so sweet and sad at the same time.

I loved this picture too, it

I loved this picture too, it just prooves that if you explain to the kids early enough they'll understand and be more open minded. If people would finally understand that the world would be much more tolerant in the generation to come.

it is so...

it is so interesting to me too. I notice most people tend to not want to talk with their children about homosexuality because they feel "they wont understand.."

at age 5-6, most kids already have some concept of love...especially between a man and a woman. all those darn fairytales we're so use to? do they have a concept of intimacy? NO. it's just a "oh, they love each other" concept.

I have nieces and nephews and in this day and age, i wonder if they have seen two men or women holding hands. i am not gonna bring it up. thats not my place. but is it so hard to say "you know how princess julie loves prince mike? well, sometimes two princes can love each other" - - i mean, when kids are that young, they don't have that ''room'' so to speak for hate and ignorance. it is what it is.

eh

DC March

Thank you for those pictures Liz! Great pix!

It's a shame I missed the march. I was in Washington DC just last week-end in those exact places.

How many people participated, would you say?

thousands....

i think thousands marched. i was literally in the front,  behind the cop cars leading our way. whenever i looked back, there seemed to be no end in sight.

as for the exact number, i am not sure. i think someone told me like 5,000 people marched. but even during the march, we'd have people, even tourists start getting into the march and walking with us. so....who knows really? it was insane, but i loved it.

I wonder if anyone else from afterelton went to the D.C. march. i can't be the only freaking D.C-er in this place. i asked days earlier, but i got no response...so i marched ''alone'' in a way.

I would have..

.. marched too, if it had taken place just one week earlier! Too bad really.

Anyway, thanks for the reply.

did ya...

did ya march/protest or whatever where ya lived??

No.

I live in Brussels, Belgium and as far as I know there was no march... I must say I only found out about marches taking place all over the world (not only US), on Sunday. By then it was probably too late, but I didn't hear of any march in Brussels.

I didn't even know that there was gonna be marches outside of the US, did anyone heard about one taking place in France ?

I would've definitely marched if I knew about it !

A friend of mine is in LA right now, I told him about it but he arrived there like 2 days late.
