He is a big MO? That is my guess. That would explain why he dissed the dust-in-a-dress Lucinda in the tent and instead shacked up with Luke and Noah.

I don't think Brian is gay, mostly because it's too obvious.  Besides, if Brian is gay then where does the story go from there?   What would be the point other than he was out to seduce one of the boys?  There's no way this show is going to have either Luke or Noah being sexually pursued by a guy old enough to be their father.  I'm sure Brian's secret is something that will have an impact on their lives, but I just don't see it being that.

He showed up with half a Pier 1 Imports in his backpack! I'll let some of the show's dangling plot threads fly, but that one demands closure.

Brian is not going to pursue the boys. And I ask myself "where does the story go from there" just about everyday. Nothing suprises me in Oakdale. Whatever the big suprise is, as long as it means more Nuke, and god forbid more than a kiss, I'm all for it. Knowing this show though, Brian will turn out to be Rosanna back from her coma, and now a Tranny. THAT would be awesome, and the story paths would be endless.

what I most remeber is that night Lucinda walked into the office (the episode where Brian invites Lucinda and the boys to the mushroom hunt) and he acts all suspicious, makes a couple of coy dodgy looks and says: "I'm just trying to impress my boss".

I don't think that Brian is gay, it doesn't seem like it would do anyone any service. I mean, really....where would the story go? Even for a soap, it wouldn't be the right way to go, in my opinion. 

It seems to me that he has a [personal] interest in the foundation's success...he NEEDS the foundation to succeed in order to help himself personally. But what could it be? Perhaps he has an ill child?
