 Matt almost looks like a totally different person in that picture.....way different from any other picture, or video i've seen of him.

I think this image is a lot like his other studio stuff. He looks different in most his candid stuff - interviews, in action, news stuff.

Plus, I also read that Matthew didn't actually pose for the pic. This was not shot as a photo for his after win cover, it's something they had in the can.

either he looks too serious or something is off about that photo in general.....may have to go with homoguy563 in that it is wayyy too airbrushed.

on this picture as it does not only not look good but it does not look like Matthew. I can almost bet that it's not one of their usual photographers as this is more up DNA's alley.

Unless he got the shoulder tatoo sometime since the Olympics, and it hasn't really been long enough for a tat that size to heal completely.  At the Olympics he had no tats on his arms.

as the "this" in my post could create some confusion as you got the point that I was trying to make of the caliber of photography that DNA is known for. Given the long turnaround times that magazines generally have, they may have snuck this one in so we may have to wait for the definitive Matthew shots when they get the real DNA treatment. Some may need to sit down as those Aussies know how to put out a magazine that feels great on the hands and presents men in the most amazing light.

The guy on this particular cover is not Matthew, just another one of the DNA gods ;-)

The interview took place in Rome, where he was on holiday with Lachlan. Im guessing that could expain the difference from the usual stuff. DNA rotates about 3 or 4 photographers for their covers. Maybe this was a last minute replacement, since his win was unexpected, to make the deadline.

There really isn't any interview to speak of...they talk about how Matthew and Lachlan are in Italy and ppl recognize them, throw parties for them and they have this photo:

The rest of the article is just a rehash of everything we all know...Matthew winning gold, being snubbed by the media, ppl being upset and NBC's statements.
