The gay angle on the premiere of New AmsterdamI missed this Tuesday night, but somebody has nicely captured the specific gay element of the episode on youtube; the big plus is that it features Eric William Morris (Matt from ATWT) and Stephen Schnetzer (Cass from Another World and ATWT). Episode 3 : Walt Whitman
Tonight's third episode of New Amsterdam had a little bit of a gay connection in it.
In this episode's flashbacks Amsterdam recalls his time in the Civil War as a doctor. His assistant is named Walt and at the end gives him a copy of his book, Leaves of Grass. Amsterdam has kept a photo of the two of them, and recalls him as a friend.
After 400 years I guess you would meet a few historical figures. Interesting that the first one to be shown is gay.
