Liveblogging "One Life To Live": The Big Day, Part Five "Fish Don't Fry In The Kitchen"
At long last, the moment has arrived. The wedding is about to commence and Oliver is not about to stay home and watch it on TV. Little does he know what's in store for him. Join us for the fun (and this one is sure to be something special), and refresh for updates! 2:05PM EST: Oh great, we get a rewind of Nora and Bo throwing props against the wall, and ending in a kiss clinch. We move over to the Halloween party where Roxy is dressed ... in a Roxy costume? We get some Llanview history with the appearance of Andrew Carpenter, who will be conducting the mass wedding ceremony. If you want to know more about Andrew's history, and why it's such an important part of gay history on soaps, then click here. 2:10PM EST: Langston and Star show up and in an "awww" moment, Cole and Marko shows up to support them. Oliver shows up (in uniform) and tells Kyle that he got his badge back. They need every availabale officer to keep on eye on the day player Phelps wannabes who are protesting. Dorian announces that when she is elected mayor, her first official act will be to issue marriage licenses to every gay couple. Both Kyle and Oliver look at each other, shocked. 2:20PM EST: Matthew is on the verge of telling TBTD that he's at the same boarding school as her daughter, when Ross interrupts. Meanwhile, Kevin almost catches Nora and Bo in mid-clinch. Kyle asks Nick if he knew about the whole "it's going to be legal" thing, and Nick says "we'll still take this thing one step at a time. Nothing between us has to change". Shane wants to go with Roxy to the wedding, and Gigi reluctantly agrees. Why are the kids in Llanview so cool? Cris shows up to support Oliver, followed by Layla. Awkward! 2:25PM EST: This is hilarious. Cole and Marko are fixing each other's ties when one of the protesters (who I'm pretty sure is Jackie Hoffman) recognizes Marko and assumes the two of them are a gay couple. Marko and Cole go along with it, just to spite the protesters, and Langston and Star follow suit, pretending to be a lesbian couple. Oliver watches the happenings intently
2:35PM EST: I'm loving these flashbacks to the love history of DVTM and Dorian, especially when he was a ... buddhist monk. Roxy and Shane show up at the wedding (and thank god Shane changed out of the Robin uniform), and Roxy gives Kyle a lucky rabbit's foot. 2:40PM EST: YES! HERE WE GO! The crowd is shouting "pervs on parade" when a Llanview cop comes up and says "good one. I'd rather be with you than protecting these homos". Oliver has finally had enough and starts shouting "What is wrong with you? What are you so afraid of? Are you afraid of me? Because guess what ... I'm one of those 'pervs'." Our FUB then turns around and continues "I'm one of those queers. I'm gay, and I'd rather be over here with people who love each other than all of you people who thrive on hate!. Roxy whispers "yes", while Kyle looks ... stunned. Wow, I have to catch my breath. 2:50PM EST: Oliver goes on, yelling at the crowd that he doesn't care what they think, and he's proud to be exactly who he is, and he's proud to stand with all of the people who are standing up for their right to marry, and someday he will marry the person he loves. Meanwhile, Kyle is making ... odd motions with the rabbit foot., and Cris and and Layla applaud , and now it's Nick's turn to look stunned. It seems to have gotten to Dorian, as well. Could she be having cold feet now? 2:55PM EST: Kyle sits down next to Oliver and says "I can't believe you said that, in front of all those people". Oliver says "I meant every word". Nick comes up and says "Kyle, c'mon, it's time to get married". Kyle glances at Oliver. Preview Time: Damn, we have to wait til Monday! Submitted by on Fri, 2009-10-30 14:01. |

Poor Oliver...he asks if Kyle and Nick are moving in together. Heartbreaking.
The Fish has a good question....
My Guess....
They could have least told everyone where they were registered!

I want a Roxy costume!
So Nick gets an incredibly hot tux...
Nick
Well, Nick is only working off of a temporary teacher's salary. You always make sure your partner doesn't look better than you at events as a rule. Duh! ;-)

Kyle looked hot and I wish Oliver had commented on it!
But, weren't they supposed to be in 'matching tux'? Didn't Oliver say something along those lines to Cris?--------------------------------
Would somebody hug OLIVER, already!?
HA!
I wish I could be Roxy for Halloween!
Even if they are fake protestors on a show, they still make my blood boil. Booo!
It's OK

Is Jackie Hoffman one of the protestors?

In Xanadu on stage

They are kept in separate bowl because if they are in the same bowl they will kill each other after tearing those beautiful fins to shreds. Much like pit bulls in scuba gear.
Let's hope that's not the case here....
