Going through "Hollyoaks" withdrawal? Here's a quick fix.

After weeks of having to fantasize about their storyline (mine involved the two of them in a remake of Summer Lovers...with me as the mysterious stranger who becomes the trois in their menage), we'll finally see some John Paul and Kieron action on Hollyoaks late next week.

But if you can't wait, we've got some pics (like the one above, with J.P. in an absolutely hideous shirt), and some spoilers, plus news about a return to Hollyoaks for James Sutton!

You can see it all after the break, and thanks to dkellergrl2001 for the heads up.

When last we left, J.P. and Kieron had become engaged, and according to these spoilers, Kieron is anxious to take the next step.

John Paul is tense as Kieron pushes him to tell Myra about their engagement. Kieron is insistent they tell Myra today if John Paul really wants to marry him and, faced with little choice, John Paul finally plucks up the courage. Myra is stunned and insists she won't let it happen.
However, a stubborn John Paul is adamant she can't tell him what to do and insists they'll get married whether she likes it or not. Kieron goes to see Myra alone, hoping to appease her, but Myra is having none of it. However, Kieron's words have had an effect on her and both John Paul and Kieron are amazed when Myra tells them she's changed her mind – she'll do what she can to support their marriage.

In other news, James Sutton. who had already filmed all of his J.P. scenes, has returned to film some special scenes to air in mid-October.

"We're thrilled James decided to come back for the episodes. It's like a McQueen family reunion on set but under very different circumstances - John Paul's presence is simply the icing on the cake.
"The cast and crew are currently filming on location for a number of huge episodes and we're sure that the storyline's twists and consequences will definitely come as a shock to viewers."

Hmm.."on location".."huge episodes"...Are they finally going to have that Ma Barker style Mcqueen family shooutout?

Ma Barker style Mcqueen family shooutout

"Are they they finally going to have that Ma Barker style Mcqueen family shooutout?" This is Hollyoaks, and these are the McQueens we're talkin. I would NOT put it past them!

    I don't know...

What I like about this, is that there's obviously going to be more Myra-Kieron.  Can't be much and I don't think it will turn out the way I would like - but nevertheless. Last time they had this conversation at Jack's funeral I understood something about Myra. It was obvious before but not to this extent (at least not to me): She doesn't know that people like Kieron exist. People who care for others simply because they are nice and like to care. People who don't just act friendly or honestly because of selfish ulterior motives.
She has never experienced this - not with her mother, or apparently with any of her children's fathers and she doesn't seem to have a lot of friends. She's constantly in trouble with the police or other authorities - and her children: oh dear.
So I can understand why the only person she dares to trust completely is a priest, because in her eyes he is forced to be good because of his position. She trusts the position not the person. Take him out of this position and he is like everyone else (including herself): selfish, not honest, not to be trusted.

I'm not sure if that was the intention of the writers - I somewhat doubt it - but I had some fun pondering over it ;)
I even would go as far as to say that when Kieron is gone, Myra's loss will be bigger than JP's because she's more in need of a trustworthy friend.

Other than that: This whole marriage-thing is more or less putting me off. I fear, they will sacrifice Kieron's character over this - it was slightly out of character for him to accept JP's proposal this easily and it definitely won't be in character for him to push them to a fast marriage or maybe even get into a huff over it.
It's so obvious that they just need the marriage-story to make them happy at first and then use it to make them quarrel and JP to get cold feet.

If HO wants JP to go back to Craig in whatever way: okay, it's their show, they can do what they like - but the only show I allow to treat me like my IQ wasn't higher than 60 has blowfish in it who drive sportscars.

So if there has to be a break-up I would prefer it to be something more believable and less forced. JP having difficulties with Kieron's ongoing religiosity for example. Or their age-gap could create tension.
