Those of us who've been saying that Cheyenne Jackson deserves a regular TV series finally get satisfaction, as he joins the cast of gay-fave comedy 30 Rock as the new cast member of TGS.
But first, things continue to get tense between Luke and Mason on today's As the World Turns. SO tense that fisticuffs might ensue unless Noah steps in! We'll be following the action with a liveblog so be sure to join us starting at 2PM Eastern!

Phillip continues to try to mend his relationship with Chance today after seeking fatherly advice from Paul. Phillip is taking fathering advice from Paul? I guess Phillip hasn't met Heather?

Mason continues to try to keep Luke out of Noah's film work, setting off Luke's temper again. As Luke heads to his corner to cool down, word starts to spread about Mason's interest in Noah.
Bones (Fox) 8:00 PM EST
Stephen Fry returns tonight, though it's not clear what role he will play as the Jeffersonian team tries to solve the death of a wrestler.
Supernatural (CW) 9:00 PM EST
The funpocalypse continues this week as Sam and Dean find themselves at a convention for fans of the Supernatural series of books. Since trouble always follows Los Bros Winchester, a live-action role-playing session turns deadly. Considering that every time the Winchester brothers encounter fans of their literary stand-ins, Wincest jokes abound I'm expecting this one should at least offer some hoyay humor.
30 Rock (NBC) 9:30 PM EST
With TGS' new cast member finally making his debut, it turns out he's going to disrupt the dynamic of TGS with an easy-going manner. Meanwhile, Liz Lemon gets the chance to break out on her own as the host of a talk show.
The Jay Leno Show (NBC) 10:00 PM EST
Gay icon Dolly Parton is set to be there for tonight's "10 @ 10" segment.
infoMania (Current) 10:00 PM EST
It's been a couple weeks since we last got a "That's Gay" segment, so hopefully this week will bring us more Bryan Safi. Meanwhile, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Carrie Prejean's "anyone who criticizes me is trying to take away my free speech and thus should be silenced" tour gets a comedic takedown in the show's review of the week.
Chelsea Lately (E!) 11:00 PM EST
Guy Branum is on tonight's panel as Chelsea's guest is... Katie Price. I'm not sure if I'm ready to see more of Price after her chat with Graham Norton a few weeks ago.
Leeches (Logo) Midnight EST
Logo's latest "Midnight Movie" follows a college campus terrorized by leeches who grow to giant size after feeding on steroid-laced blood. This one is supposed to have a good amount of homoeroticsm, but it sounds like it'll deliver a good amount of camp.

It's a gay pop culture double-feature as Tyra talks with the cast of Glee, who will get to judge real Glee Clubs in the "Tyra Show Glee Off". Then, Tyra will talk with Gabourey “Gabby” Sidibe and Paula Patton of the movie Precious.

As one love triangle looks set to end, Nuke sounds like they're headed to another triange, one that will start with a bang on today's episode.
Queerview Guide
Y&R - Actually, I think he's taking advice from Paul BECAUSE of Heather. Paul is also a guy trying to become a father to an uptight, emotionally distant adult child.
I've never been clear: Is Cheyenne actually joining the cast permanently? Contract, in the credits, the whole works? When they first started the "third castmember" story, I envisioned a series of "wacky misadventures" with a string of cast members not working out.
And even though we only ever saw two cast members, I had always assumed there were some dull, unimportant members to fill out the ensemble. Aren't the possibilities a little limited on a sketch comedy show with two actors? Fry and Laurie these two aren't.
30 Rock
Good point about Phillip and Paul, both have made mistakes.
I had a similar question and it's been reported in several places that he's "joining the cast" even though tonight's episode description lists him as a guest. Joining the cast could mean a lot of things, Maulik Pancholy is officially part of the cast and he shows up only briefly every other episode or so.
As for the TGS cast, Josh was a writer/actor until recently, though we barely saw him. I, too, figured there has to be more performers on TGS. At the least, we've seen they have a number of extras.
I think
Yeah
FWIW
He's filmed two more episodes. But 30 Rock definitely has a flexible definition of what it means to join the cast. Some cast members (most notably Scott Adsit, who appears in the credits) haven't appeared for several episodes in a row. I'm guessing it means his story is open-ended, unlike a Salma Hayek who they know won't be around by the next season.
