This guy has beautiful....
...eyes! And it's so nice to see a model smiling!
If only he hadn't waxed his chest ...
Sadly, no...
...I was horrified and appalled whilst watching a repeat of Janice Dickinson's show last night where she demanded that the aspiring male models shave and wax their chest. Blasphemer! Sacrilege!
Eyes? He has eyes? Oh...
Tori! Tori! Tori!
High tech toilets - so classy! Is this why you dropped out of the new 90210? Please rethink your career path before someone pitches your next show as "So Masturba-TORI!"
Tattoo
When I saw the design on Cho's shoulder I thought, "That's a nice dress. Very colorful." It took a minute to realize it was a tattoo. I haven't a tatto with such bright coloring in a while.
Neil for VP: The Daily Show forgot the Sesame Street Neil Patrick Harris. He would be great for families as see in these new Sesame Street Videos:

They also forgot Dr. Horrible, but since that Neil is trying to take over the world he might not be the best candidate.
Neil Patrick Harris and "Normal" Gays
NPH said he wants to represent "normal" gays which apparently means the non-drag, non-leather crowd. Granted there are plenty of gay guys who never do drag or leather, myself included, but I know that those in the drag and leather communities have raised a heck of a lot of money for glbt-specific and non-glbt-specific charities, and doing it all throughout the years NPH was still a closet case. Does he think the money to keep the doors of gay community centers or youth groups open appears out of thin air? Or from rich glbt people? It mostly comes from working-class glbt people who attend the myriad of fundraisers hosted by volunteers, many of whom are from the drag and leather segments of the glbt community.
He says "The ‘normal’ couples were sort of in the shadows for the past 15 or 20 years because you sort of needed other people to come forward and speak out."
If he means normal as in not-fey gay people then he needs a history lesson about how the fey members of the glbt community have stood up for our collective rights long before other segments and have taken the brunt of the damage from physical attacks against our community. I respect my fey friends immensely because they have to show bravery in the face of adversity whether they want to or not. They even had to take grief from our own community because people disliked them "representing" our community but the non-fey gays were often nowhere to be seen outside the bars.
Side Question: has there been any photos of him and his boyfriend holding hands or kissing? I know T.R. Knight and Mark Cornelsen don't avoid affectionate physical contact. What about Neil?
I remember Afterelton had
Out of context
A lot of outlets ran with his comment out of context. Here's exactly what he said:
"I’m striving to be an example of normalcy. Because I’m noticed as an actor, people are aware of what’s happening in my life, and that I can’t change, and if I tried to, it’d be an uphill battle. I’d be angry and bitter. I’m a big proponent of monogamous relationships regardless of sexuality, and I’m proud of how the nation is steering toward that. Then you can look around and say, “I really deeply feel like I’m in love with this person, there are people who feel the same thing, and those models are normal.” The “normal” couples were sort of in the shadows for the past 15 or 20 years because you sort of needed other people to come forward and speak out."
I don't get any indication that he's disrespecting any other group. He's simply expressing his belief in traditional monogamy and saying that he's proud to represent that. Not once does he make any statements about effeminacy, drag queens, leather, etc. He played the Emcee, for heaven's sake!
So while "normalcy" is a relative term, I don't think he intended it in the way that it's being interpreted out of context.
Normal???
Gay Representation
Exactly, that's the thing about "normal". It reminds me of that scene from Flawless where the drag queens, lead by Philip Seymour Hoffman's street-tough character, confront the group of suit-and-tie gay republicans about who rightly represents the community. And Hoffman bluntly says to the effect, "When all is said and done, at the end of the day we all suck c**k so don't think you're better than anyone else in the community."
I think it's important for anyone who thinks they are a success in the gay community to realize that being able to stand tall and proud enough to see a time when we are treated as equals is only possible because we are standing on the shoulders of giants who went before us, and who too often gave up their well being, their safety and even their lives to make progress on the road toward equality.

Thank goodness he has a smooth chest!
I don't think you stand alone about the "smooth" aesthetic
I am glad to see that there is a broader tolerance/appreciation for the furry boys too as it feels to me that we got to the point of almost rejecting/masking (sometimes not very successfully) genetic truths to look like what we're told is hot.
I would not characterize the smooth thing as a phase, but hopefully an aesthetic trend that is a little narrow as some would characterize the 1970s Castro look. A key difference as that the Castro look had political and practical overtones as it allowed gays to recognize others when it was not as easy as it is today.
I am fine with smooth or hairy, but think that it might be a good thing to embrace a look that feels right to you. There has to be something healthy about not feeling that you need to grab the razor to be part of the mainstream.
An argumentative academic could destroy my statements as I do shave my face, certainly pull any rampant hairs, and actually prefer guys with receding hairlines to keep their hair nicely cropped or even shaved than seeing a comb-over or dangling hairs.
But back to the subject at hand. I think, if anything, that the gay media is still working under the assumptions that smooth trumps hairy. When I see guys giving one another 5-fives when yummy furry guys are showcased, I think that it may have more to do with being psyched over expanded horizons than rejecting the beyond hot guy on this post. I think that is a good thing as some guys might stop eradicating their hair to meet myopic views of what teh gay media thinks is hot. I think that there will be a huge smooth element that is here to stay so we can all be content.

When I read that, I was worried he'd run afoul with the law and was in jail.
Glad to learn I was mistaken. :)
