"The Amazing Race" (15.4) recap: "Sean Penn Cambodia Here We Come"
What a bummer. Our guys Sam and Dan finally came in first place, but it cost the loss of one of the most entertaining teams this season. This episode starts with bad news for two teams. There's a mad rush for the Vietnam Airlines counter to get tickets to the next destination, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Lance and Kerri and Zev and Justin are the last in line and are informed that the plane taking off tomorrow is booked solid, and they'll have to take a later flight. Of course in this show a delay of 90 minutes can mean the difference between winning and losing, so they cross their fingers that they can find some way to get on that earlier flight.
Fortunately, they manage to get on the first flight at the last possible moment, prompting this piece of poetry from the ever-classy Lance: "“No cheap wins, bitches! No cheap wins!” Landing in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Zev & Justin got off to a great start at the airport with the help of their taxi driver, who agreed to drive them for the entire leg. The first assignment was to drive to the Foreign Correspondent’s Club and look around for the assignment editor who would be sitting among the club’s other patrons. The teams were instructed to whisper "may we have our next assignment?" (because all editors are by nature a peculiar and demanding bunch. Trust me.), and they'd be giving the next task, which was wrapped in a newspaper.
